Our Mission
Our mission is twofold:
(1) to empower individuals to discover their authentic and resilient selves—living life to the fullest with joy, peace and confidence.
(2) to promote mental wellness in the community by making knowledge and support accessible across cultures and languages.
Our Vision
I believe life is a journey of understanding ourselves, growing into our potential, living authentically, and find peace with who we are. Everyone has the ability to live life to the fullest. Story
I was born in China, grew up in Hong Kong, and later relocated to Canada. Growing up in a family where emotions were rarely discussed, I often felt alone and uneasy—but these experiences sparked a deep curiosity about human behavior and inspired my desire to help others navigate emotional challenges.
Living across different cultures gave me a deeper understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges people face when adapting to change. This journey inspired me to become a psychotherapist.
Today, as a psychotherapist fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, I provide a warm, culturally sensitive space where clients can explore their authentic selves, build resilience, and live life fully. Beyond one-on-one therapy, I aim to promote mental wellness in the community, making knowledge and support accessible across cultures and languages. Through this work, I hope to help individuals and communities heal, grow, thrive, and find happiness.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Psychotherapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be causing distress and develop strategies to manage challenges in healthier ways. Over time, psychotherapy can help you build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and foster positive changes in your relationships, mood, and overall well-being.

The first session is about getting to know you and your needs. I’ll ask about your current concerns, background, and goals for therapy. You’ll also have the chance to ask me questions and see if my approach feels like a good fit for you. By the end of the session, we’ll discuss possible directions for therapy and set some initial goals together.

Psychotherapy provided by registered social workers (RSWs) is not covered by OHIP. However, many extended health benefit plans and employee assistance programs (EAPs) provide coverage for services with RSWs. I can provide an official receipt for each session, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement if you have coverage. Additionally, psychotherapy services can be claimed as a medical expense on your Canadian income tax return.
